THE BOARDIE TAKEOVER - THE VILLAGE - END TENT
On Thursday 11th June the Download Festivals Messageboards invade the campsite stage to present "The Boardie End tent". Bands, entertainers and DJ's - all regular contributers to the Download Festival Forums - will keep the Thursday night blues away from 6pm till Midnight.
The main event will be four bands plucked from the forum membership. Kicking off proceedings 2007 Boardie BBQ mentalists Scumface return for another round of quickfire punk. Female fronted melodic metallers Orestea will bring the sanity back before Echovirus take us in a harder edged direction. Rounding the bands off, Silent Descent will top the evening off with their high energy mix of trance metal.
In between the bands we'll give you singers Tons o Fun & Hevs, the comedy stylings of stand-up Jokkmokk and a bit of burlesque from the delightful Cherri De Lish! DJ's Dave KC, cyst & Gabber Foxx will spin the decks and keep you moshing into the night. And thats all before the festival starts!!
