Rock legend Ronnie James Dio diagnosed with stomach cancer

As some of you may know, rock legend Ronnie James Dio was due to embark out on tour across the UK earlier this month, but at the last minute had to cancel the shows due to illness.

We’ve just received word from his management team, who have given us the sad news that Ronnie has been diagnosed with the early stages stomach cancer. In a statement, they said:

"We are starting treatment immediately at the Mayo Clinic. After he kills this dragon, Ronnie will be back on stage, where he belongs, doing what he loves best, performing for his fans.

"Thanks to all the friends and fans around the world that have sent well wishes. This has really helped to keep his spirit up.

"Long Live Rock and Roll, Long Live Ronnie James Dio"
